Wes Broome

Wes has  been playing the trombone since 10 years old through middle school, high school, and college participating in marching band, wind ensemble, jazz band and various small brass groups. While at NC State as a student nuclear engineer, he was a member of the marching band/pep band, wind ensemble, and Jazz Band. In the fall of 2006, he picked up the bass trombone and has been playing that almost exclusively since.  In addition to playing with the StarDusters, he is also a member of the Matthews Brass Choir, of the Matthews United Methodist Church and led by Bob Jackson. 

Wes is an engineer for Duke Energy in the Oconee Nuclear Design group in Charlotte and is married to Ashley, a graduate student in Animal Science at NC State. They live in Matthews, NC.
