Greg Dunn

Greg's love of the saxophone started, oddly enough, with the trumpet. "I started on trumpet in elementary school, but after two weeks the director decided that I was so bad, he moved me to alto sax."

After attending East Carolina University on a music scholarship, Greg put the horn down for nearly fifteen years. He returned to the saxophone when both of his children began playing in the school band. As a way to spend more time with his kids, the three of them joined the Gaston Symphonic Band. He also fills in when needed with the Oasis Temple Shrine Band in Charlotte.

Greg and his beautiful wife Anita reside in Gastonia with their two children Laura and Sean. Sean is becoming an accomplished musician, having recently been invited to Governor's school tryouts on the tenor sax. Laura is a 2003 graduate of Forestview High School and is currently enrolled in college. Greg's full time job and other passion is golf  and he is a class A member of the PGA of America.
